Looking through all my notes of potty’s and stuff I decided that today’s post would review the Safety 1st Potty n Stool. If you have read any of my other review posts you will know how my reviews go but for those who don’t…:)

I will give you what I gathered doing my own research throughout the internet, the good the bad and the ugly, everything you need to make the right choice. So let’s talk about the Safety 1st Potty n Stool…

Crunching the Numbers

Today we will start with my two favorite sites to get the low down on everything. Amazon had 29 reviews of this product and they broke down like this. 5 star rating: 4, 4 star rating: 5, 3 star rating: 2, 2 star rating: 7, 1 star rating: 11. As for Epinion there were a good number of reviews, 77 in fact and they break down like this: 5 star rating: 10, 4 star rating: 22, 3 star rating: 10, 2 star rating: 21, 1 star rating: 14. For those who like percentages like me , it means that out of  106 people, exactly 50 percent gave the Safety 1st Potty n Stool 2 stars or less!

The Good Things

Moving on to the things that people liked about the Safety 1st Potty n Stool (affiliate link). This potty’s positive attributes include the following benefits.

• 3 in 1 unit
• lightweight
• colourful
• large bowl for collection
• good price
• durable

The Bad & Ugly Things

As promised here is the bad and ugly about the Safety 1st Potty n Stool.

• hard to clean due to plastic bracing underneath seat(see picture above and even the positive reviewers did not like this)
• handles too far back and come off too easy
• splash guard constantly falls off or gets lost because it will not stay on
• removal of bowl is tricky, some find that it sticks
• some found stool unstable and some only used the stool and not the potty
• seat alone not very secure on “big” toilet

My 2 cents

Based on the overall reviews from Amazon and Epinion alone I personally don’t think the Safety 1st Potty n Stool is going to make it onto my list. The biggest put off for me is the effort involved in the cleaning part, not too mention the fact that the splash guard is no good. Now that is just me but it is enough alone to turn me off but hey it would be a boring world if we all loved the same thing. Remember that 41 reviewers gave Potty n Stool 4 stars or better.
